Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

YOU ARE DEEPLY LOVED

Have you ever heard that God loves you? You may have heard it so often that it doesn’t mean anything to you. You also may have never heard it before. God loves you deeply, truly, and genuinely. God’s love doesn’t change based on anything that we do. It won’t stop, and it isn’t something that we can ever fully understand. We just have to know that no matter where we go or what we do, God is here to love us and wants what is best for us.

God loves us deeply. Sometimes, He doesn’t love some of the things that do, but that doesn’t change how much He loves us, so He wouldn’t let that stop Him. That’s why He sent Jesus so that not only could He love us, but He could be with us.

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:9-10

God’s love is greater and deeper than you could ever imagine.

YOU ARE VALUED

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through  Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

Imagine the person you love the most and never getting to be with them because of their choices; that is how it would have been for God, but greater. That’s why He sent Jesus for us. Jesus lived a life full of miracles and cared for people well. Not only did He care for them, but He helped them to live a life of impact. A life that matters. Jesus encountered so many people that were hurt or stuck. He met so many people who weren’t living their life for the fullness of who they could be. But Jesus never left people in those places.

A Life Lived to the Fullest

There was a woman in the Bible who heard about Jesus and encountered Him, which changed her life. This woman had a medical issue that had caused her lots of pain for a long time. She was outcasted by her society and her family. She felt completely alone. She had heard about Jesus and His miracles and believed that just touching a part of His robe could heal her. When she touched Jesus, she was completely healed. She was able to live her life to the fullest after that because when you encounter Jesus, He gives you a life to its fullest potential.

“Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.” Mark 5:29

She was healed physically, but Jesus didn’t stop there. Jesus talked with her and called her “Daughter” even after her own family had left her. You may be scared of trusting Jesus and His love, but He won’t hurt or leave you. If you can find enough courage to receive His love Jesus won’t let you down.

“Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” Mark 5:33-39

Do You Know Jesus?

Jesus is the son of God, and He came to earth to save all of us from the things that we do that would separate us from God. He loves you so much that He died on the cross for our sins, and then He rose again three days later. Jesus wants to be your safe place, your peace, and He wants to lead and guide your life. He also wants a relationship with you!

If you want a relationship with Jesus, the Bible says that you have to admit that Jesus is Lord, that He died on the cross, and rose again to save you from your sins. Ask Him to come into your life, and I promise He will change your life.

IF YOU DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH, “JESUS IS LORD,”

AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM

FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED.

Human dignity is precious

The feeling of having dignity is in many ways, a constant variable to our sense of self-worth. Jesus’ life and ministry constantly restored a lost sense of dignity to human beings—most often to those who were thought to be less than or written off by society, but even now when he is not here on earth- He does the same for us.

As I’m sure we have all experienced, the feeling of dignity is very easily lost. You make a mistake and beat yourself up. Someone accuses you of something you didn’t do. You say the wrong thing and are on the outs with people who previously liked you. You go online and get sucked into the comparison trap. You try to do better but miss the mark you set for yourself and then shame yourself. You start to think that God would never notice, care about or even love someone like you.

Through Christ’s self-giving love for others, people were able to feel like they could reclaim their lives. As those who are so immensely loved by Him, it breaks his heart to see our dignity damaged. Human dignity originates from God and is of God because we are made in God’s own image and likeness as seen in Genesis 1:26-27;

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.”

When we become aware of our own sins and limitations, we have the incredible chance to heal and choose a new life when we discover how Christ comes alive in and through each of us. What this healing means for us is that Jesus, who so personally and compassionately meets us where we are at, heals and restores our dignity. And likewise, in such a personal and intimate way for us, gives himself to us. So, as you think upon the things that make you feel as if your dignity has been ripped from you, offer your heart to His healing. He has come to meet you where you are and gives you Himself completely, He can heal our loneliness and brokenness.  Open your heart to Jesus, simply be there with Him and let God come into you in such a compassionate, loving, personal way, for to God you and I are worth it.
